DMX Arrested For the Sixth Time This Year

TMZ is reporting that DMX was arrested again. This time he was arrested for identity theft. Aparantly he gave a false name and Social Security number to the Scottsdale's Mayo Clinic to avoid paying the $7,500 in medical expenses.

He was already arrested 5 times in the last 2.5 months (May 7th, May 9th, June 23rd, June 27th and July 2nd)!

How many times can one be arrested before he is actually learns a lesson? Obviously he will not learn a lesson and continue getting arrested until he gets a stiffer penalty.

Jay-Z Demands Beyonce Watermelon Boobs

Rapper Jay-Z reportedly demanded a watermelon carved in the shape of wife Beyonce Knowles' boobs while he was in Africa. He was staying at a $5,000-a-night hotel room before his THISDAY Festival performance in Nigeria last Friday and requested the watermelon breasts be displayed in his room during his stay in Africa.

A source told the Mirror:

"One giant watermelon was split in two and ornately carved into a mould of Beyonce's breasts. Two cherries were used as nipples."

My guess is he was missing his wife and this was his bizarre way of reminding himself of her.

Nas Introduced to Smoking Pot at Age 9

Nas swears his dad jazz musician Olu Dara was a great role model for him even though he let him try marijuana at age 9. Nas bragged:

"He'd be in the house smoking weed. He gave me weed when I was, like, nine years old. That was cool. (We'd) listen to music, talk, watch TV. I'd bug him for a hit, and on a few occasions he let me hit it."

The rapper thinks his dad was cool:

"Other kids didn't have fathers like that. Either their father wasn't around or they were in jail - they weren't musicians who traveled the world and came back with stories."

Yeah, I'm sure Child Protective Services would've thought a lot about his dear old dad as well.

50 Cent Has a Thing for Older Women

50 Cent has the hots for older women because he revealed he has a crush on Mrs. Huxtable from The Cosby Show, actress, Phylicia Rashad who just recently turned 60 years old. He said:

"She was gorgeous. Jesus, I met her recently - she's still very attractive."

I didn't know this, but apparently the rapper had dated Vivica Fox before too.

However, he's reportedly dating Ciara right now, according to Female First. It sounds like Ciara is way too young for him!

Snoop Dogg Covers Legendary Johnny Cash

Rapper Snoop Dogg has covered Johnny Cash's classic, "I Walk the Line" according to Starpulse.

The new album is set to be produced by John Carter Cash, the legend's son says we'll see a variet of stars covering his dad's songs with their own personal touch. He insists that his dear old dad would've approved of Snoop Dogg's cover:

"He would have loved this remix record. While it stays true to the original recordings, this CD touches on undiscovered ground. This is what my father was about: staying true to tradition while creating groundbreaking new music."

I don't know...something about this just doesn't sound right. Snoop Dogg and country don't seem to mix well.

NAS Slams Jesse Jackson Over Obama Comments

NAS was outraged over Rev. Jesse Jackson's comments about Senator Barack Obama on TV. Although Jackson has since apologized to Obama and tried to explain himself for saying he wanted to "cut his (Obama's) n*ts off," NAS is still pissed, according to Contact Music. He said:

"I think Jesse Jackson, he's the biggest player hater. His time is up. All you old n****s, time is up. We heard your voice, we saw your marching, we heard your sermons. We don't wanna hear that s**t no more. It's a new day. It's a new voice. I'm here now. We don't need Jesse; I'm here. I got this. We got Barack, we got David Banners and Young Jeezys. We're the voice now. It's no more Jesse. Sorry. Goodbye. You ain't helping nobody in the 'hood. That's the bottom line. Goodbye, Jesse. Bye!"

Can't blame him for what he's saying because I actually agree that Rev. Jackson should stay out of the limelight now because he isn't helping anyone and it's rather embarrassing.

No Anger Management Classes For Kanye!

Yesterday we reported that Kanye West is going to enroll in an anger management class. Well, it seems like that was just a rumor, here is what Kanye posted on his blog last night:

Do yall remember when people said my fiance was pregnant???? What happened to that rumor????? I guess after we broke up it was just forgot about???? I'm just using that as an example of how people make up stuff and everybody runs with it. I had my own family asking me about that. Now the media is saying I'm going to anger management something or 'nother. I have never had any conversations about anger management. If anything, I need anger enhancement!! lol! I get off the plane in Hawaii today and the world is saying my management team said blah blah blah... SIIIIIIGGGHHHH! I told the media you can't make up lies about me because I have a media outlet myself. Oh and sidebar I don't know if everyone has realized this yet but I don't do interviews if there's anything I wanna say I'll say right here on my own blog.

Check this out...I took a quote from my rant and used it as my headline.. just like a real media outlet would... hahaha

In fact, I'm happy that he's not going to take anger management classes. I find his outbursts hilarious!

Kanye West to Enroll in Anger Management Classes

Kanye West is reportedly enrolling in anger management classes to help control his frequent mood swings, according to The Sun via Contact Music.

His reps are said to be eager to resolve his inappropriate behavior as he has made several outbursts in the past in public. A source told The Sun:

"Kanye's management team came up with the idea. His mood swings were beginning to play a part in his commercial enterprises as people felt he was miserable all the time."

While Kanye seems a little crazy for his comments at award shows and events, some of it is rather entertaining. I loved when he was with Mike Myers for the live appeal to raise money for Hurricane Katrina victims and said:

"George Bush doesn't care about black people."

Cheap Jay Z Is Getting Sued By His Employees

Jay Z is extremely wealthy and also extremely cheap. Club 40/40 in Manhattan which is co-owned by him is getting sued in a class-action suit by former and current employees for violating federal minimum-wage laws by withholding paychecks from the workers. Right now, there are 20 workers involved in the suit. Here is what their lawyer Maimon Kirschenbaum said:

"The basic claim is that our clients who worked at the 40/40 Club never received a paycheck while working there. On a weekly basis, there was no paycheck, which is illegal per the minimum-wage law requirements."

The workers were also charged for broken glasses or spilled liquor:

"They also shifted the burden onto waiters, so if a bottle broke, the waiter would have to pay for the full price of bottle, which is not just unusual but completely illegal"

It always amazes me how someone as rich as Jay Z can throw all these extravagant parties but then, at the same time, be cheap to the people that work for him. I hope they win!

Oh and at the above picture is Jay Z as he was leaving Paper nightclub in London, England last night. Do you think he's a good tipper? After all, according the suit, his employees' salary was based on the tips. So he must be a big believer in tips. Question is, is he a big tipper as well?

Kanye West: "Amy Winehouse Hates Me"

Yesterday, a reporter mentioned that Amy Winehouse called Jay-Z some names when she went on to perform for Glastonbury, but it appears that it really was Kanye West she was insulting.

She reportedly told the crowd that she was pleased to open for Jay-Z and not a "c**t like Kanye West!"

Kanye addressed the insult on his blog, but writing:

"This just in... Amy Winehouse hates me!!! Now I've really made it!!! LOL (laugh out loud)!!!!"

Amy was probably just insulted by opening for either of them which caused her to want to swing at people.

Jay-Z Slams Noel Gallagher as "Ignorant"

Jay-Z has slammed Noel Gallagher for criticizing his appearance at the Glastonbury festival. The Oasis rocker had previously said:

"I'm not having hip-hop at Glastonbury. It's wrong. Jay-Z's got no chance."

However, Jay-Z reportedly wowed tens of thousands of fans with his performance on Saturday, June 28, 2008.

Before the show, Jay-Z said:

"You know that sometimes remarks are made out of ignorance. If Noel Gallagher had seen me perform and said that then I'd understand it. That is a personal opinion and I have no bearing on how he feels. You know - it's just not your taste. But he has never seen me perform. I'm sure, or else he wouldn't say that. We will see what happens."

I guess Jay-Z proved everyone wrong. I still wouldn't have wanted to see him perform because I've seen bits on award shows and YouTube and that's plenty. Perhaps the times have changed and the fans attending Glastonbury want more of a variety of music now though.

Jay-Z Set to Buy Share in Yankees

It looks like Beyonce married a guy who she'll be able to get a lot of cash from should they ever split. Jay-Z is reportedly looking to expand his investments and get into the baseball world as he wants to buy some shares in the New York Yankees.

The rapper/hip-hop mogul already has in his empire: the Roc-A-Fella Records music label, Rocawear clothing, and Armadale vodka, as well as shares in the New Jersey Nets basketball team.

He told Time Out magazine:

"I had invested in the Nets, and they (Arsenal bosses) asked me if I was interested in investing. But I get that from time to time. Someone told me yesterday that someone else had a piece of the New York Yankees - 'We wanna talk to you, yadda yadda yadda.' I mean, I love the Yankees so I'm in the middle of following that through, but sometimes it comes to be nothing. That (Arsenal) was one of the times it came to nothing."

Well, I guess he wants to be financially secure for the time that he really does retire from the entertainment business.

Kanye West Isn't Really Sorry But Issues Apology

Kanye West has reportedly issued an angry apology on his blog after receiving criticism about his Bonnaroo appearance that started two hours late. The angry rapper blames festival organizers and Pearl Jame for making him get on stage at 4:25am on June 15 which was two hours later than scheduled. Kanye wrote:

"Bonnaroo should have released a statement in my defense but since they haven't, let's break down the walls on this Truman Show and let you know what really occurred!!! I understand if people don't like me because I like me or if people think tight clothes look gay or people say I run my mouth to much, but this Bonnaroo thing is the worst insult I've ever had in my life."

Kanye was scheduled to start his thing at 2:30am, but Pearl Jam played an extra hour, his crew didn't have enough time to put up his elaborate stage.

Apparently fans became impatient, many left, but those who stayed threw beer cans, toilet paper, and glow sticks onto the stage yelling obscenities at Kanye.

"I'm sorry to everyone that I didn't have the ability to give the performance I wanted to. I'm sorry."

Wow, that must've sucked to be him after Pearl Jam. I'm sure most fans would've much rather had an extra hour to watch Pearl Jam over Kanye though. Poor guy!

DMX Arrested Again

DMX has reportedly been arrested in Miami, Florida for driving without a valid license. The rapper was taken to Turner Guilford Correctional Center where his bail was set at $500.

In May, after police raided his home in Arizona, DMX (real name Early Simmons) was charged with suspicion of drug possession and animal cruelty.

He was also arrested for speeding at 114 mph on the freeway in Phoenix, Arizona in January.

It sounds like he's going to need some stiffer penalties before he learns a lesson.

Kid Rock has reportedly encouraged young fans to steal his music and other things they feel like taking. He wrote:

"The whole debate on downloading music has gone too far. There are record companies suing kids. You can illegally download my music, steal it if you will. Because I'm f**king rich. How can I bitch about you downloading a song or two. I can't. What I would encourage you to do? Let's level the playing field. Steal everything. If you want a new MP3 player or a computer... Do you know how much money Apple and Microsoft have? Go in there, get a new laptop and run. You need a new car? Go steal a Toyota."

It sounds like he's really pissed over the iTunes thing. His post is hilarious though.

50 Cent Always Tapes His Phone Calls Especially if He's Talking to Idiots

50 Cent has reportedly taken steps to prove that the taped telephone conversation between himself and Young Buck is authentic by putting it up on his website. Apparently, 50 Cent released a new song called "The Taped Conversation" featuring Young Buck begging him to be allowed back into the group after he was booted out in April 2008 over royalties.

Buck whose real name is David Darnell Brown has hit back stating the tape was doctored.

50 Cent is now making the recording available on his website ThisIs50.com. He also told New York radio station Hot 97 he always tapes his conversations - especially if the people on the other end of the phone are "idiots." He said:

"A lot of times people don't see what the other person is doing. They don't understand the cause and effect. They don't see the other person; they just pay attention to me."

When questioned if he tapes all of his telephone calls, he said:

"With idiots, yeah! So if they saying something crazy, it's right there."

He added with regards to his former friend:

"He needs to go to a program and get some real help. Then maybe we can talk to each other."

I thought it was illegal to tape phone calls without the other party knowing about it, but I guess the law varies from state to state.

Ice T and Soulja Boy are having an all-out rap battle. Instead of East Coast vs. West Coast, though, it's a battle of good rap vs. crappy rap!

First, Ice T made this comment about Soulja and Hurricane Chris:

Sean Combs aka Diddy has reportedly revealed to MetroUK that he likes to wax his pubes to make the ladies happy. He urges all men to do it as well.

He explained:

“While I’m getting ready I like to relax with a drink –- vodka and lemonade –- and listen to some James Brown.”

He added:

“Then I’ll have a manicure and pedicure -– and yes, I wax as well. Men owe it to women to make sure they are well-groomed. I wax my privates. I also wear my fragrance, Unforgivable Black.”
