Drew Barrymore Involved in Hit and Run Accident

Drew Barrymore was involved in a hit-and-run accident, according to the Associated Press. However, instead of staying where she was and just calling the police, the Hollywood actress followed the driver who hit her to get the license plate number down. Not so smart Drew!

Fortunately Drew wasn't injured from being rear-ended on Monday in West Hollywood. After she wrote down the license plate number, she handed it over to sheriff's deputies, according to Sgt. Kristin Aloma. Aloma said following someone after an accident "could be dangerous," but emphasized that getting the license plate number is helpful in being able to find a hit-and-run driver.

It's crazy to follow someone after being hit because one can never tell what the other driver is capable of doing, especially in L.A, but the Charlie's Angels star was probably so pissed watching the car drive off. I'm glad Drew is okay though - she's very generous but what a dumb thing to do.

Drew Barrymore donated $1 million dollars to the World Food Program which will help feed children in Kenya. While she announced this on the Oprah show, she received a surprise call from her BFF Cameron Diaz. Watch the video clip above - it's cute.

According to Page Six, Drew Barrymore and Zach Braff have been hooking up since her fling with Spike Jonze is over. Drew and Braff reportedly spent a romantic weekend together with sources saying they were seen making out a lot on the dance floor. To add to this awful image of them as a couple, they were seen holding hands as they strolled down Lafayette Street.

Apparently, this isn't the first time they've been seen together though. In February, they were seen flirting with each other at an after-party for Drew's hosting gig on Saturday Night Live. Funny enough, back in February when she was denying her connection to Braff, Drew told Extra:

“I talked to him at a party. If I make out with someone, all bets are off. If I go out with someone, all bets are off. But talk to somebody… this world has gone mad.”

I guess all bets are off, but say it ain't so Drew! Zach made a better match with Mandy Moore!

Drew Barrymore was named UN Ambassador Against Hunger. She was at a press conference in DC today along with the Kenyan marathon world record holder Paul Tergat.

At the conference she said:

Drew Barrymore: New Face of British Fashion Design

Drew Barrymore is named to be the face of a new range of clothing and accessories by Giles Deacon, a British fashion designer. Drew apparently bumped into Deacon in a hotel elevator and has since agreed to promote his Gold by Giles collection in the UK. The collection includes: animal print and embroidered skinny jeans, cotton mini dresses and a variety of accessories such as over-sized sunglasses and funky jewelry. I think Drew will be able to appeal to a wide range of ages.
