Christina Aguilera is the Face of a New Jewelry Collection

Christina Aguilera is going to be the face of a new sterling silver collection by London jeweler Stephen Webster. The first ad campaign is set for release in the April issue of W. Webster said of Christina:

"She was a real coup for us. She's our longest-term regular client and the right age for the brand. We think she's in the most glamorous period of her life right now, and she is the main source of inspiration behind the collection."

The photos were shot by Vincent Peters in black-and-white and color, using the inspiration of Alfred Hitchcock. Webster added:

"I have always loved Hitchcock's films, and to be able to transport Christina and my jewelry into that classic setting was an amazing experience."

Aguilera said:

"Working together on this campaign and collection has been an incredible experience. I am honored to be a part of it all."

Webster explained his excitement for the new line because it brings him back to his early days, 32 years ago:

"Big colored gems were cheaper then. But today, a tourmaline ring is $10,000! It's all become very serious. Now I can design what I want, and I'm more carefree because the price is something like $300. My team is young, and they're enjoying themselves. And this new line also runs more closely with fashion."

I agree that Christina is probably the right age to promote this type of jewelry. It sounds like an interesting new line. Christina is making the a lot of cash these days between selling photos of her baby and getting this gig eh?

Christina Aguilera Sees A Little Elvis in Max

Christina Aguilera already has plans for baby Max Liron to become a musician. She revealed she's playing him her favorite music. She said:

"Yesterday we had Led Zeppelin blaring through the house! Most new moms play Beethoven, but we're playing Metallica, Bob Marley, and the Rolling Stones!"

She added:

"I'm head-over-heels in love! Max is smiling a lot already, and he has the same little Elvis side smile that I do. When Max is breast feeding, I just sit there and stare at him. I'm just in awe of this little miracle."

Aw, isn't that nice that she already has his life planned out for him. Imagine if he grows up wanting to be an accountant or an engineer. Yikes.

Christina Aguilera Baby Circumcised

Christina Aguilera and husband Jordan Bratman celebrated their son's bris ceremony on January 21. They reportedly held the Jewish naming and circumcision ceremony for Max Liron Bratman to formalize his middle name which is said to mean "my song" or "my joy" in Hebrew. What a sweet name! Congratulations again to Christina and hubby. I hope Christina is starting to feel better after giving birth via C-section.

Christina Aguilera Still in Pain After Childbirth

Christina Aguilera is reportedly still suffering in pain from giving birth via cesarean section to her baby boy Max Liron Bratman. A source told E!:

"It (childbirth) was more painful than she thought."

What a shocker eh? Getting cut open and having a baby removed from the womb wasn't pain free?

However, the source insists that the pain hasn't prevented her from singing to her baby. Of course not - I bet Christina started singing to her baby the minute he was out. He's used to it though...he had to endure those concerts she performed for while pregnant.

Christina was also said to have turned down an offer for $1 million from OK! magazine, refusing to sell photos of her baby. Good for her. She doesn't need the money unlike others who may find themselves out of work soon.

What a day! At the same hospital where Nicole Richie gave birth earlier today, Christina Aguilera also gave birth to a baby boy.

Christina and Jordan announced the great news by texting close friends and family at 4 p.m. writing, "Baby has arrived. Mom and dad are doing well!"

Christina Aguilera has reportedly accused some of her peers like Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan of lacking in self-control when it comes to drugs and alcohol. Christina says she has managed to practice self-discipline for her career. Aguilera told Glamour magazine:

"When you hit 20 or 21 and you're around drugs and alcohol, everyone has a moment when they like to dabble in it and express themselves. It's called being young but there is a boundary. You see all of these horror stories about people that have died of drug overdoses, people that have taken it too far and ruined their lives, and for me, I had so many things that I had yet to accomplish. It was just a matter of thinking, I don't want to waste any time, and sticking to the plan."

Christina thinks Britney Spears should have refrained from partying before her MTV Video Music Awards performance to ensure her comeback performance was a success. She added:

"Everyone has their own ways of choosing what's best for them. I have no problem with telling someone, 'Hey, I have to do a show tomorrow. I want to do a good job and be on my game'. Sometimes I wish I could go out to a party or a club and just be able to be free, but there's a consequence with the temptation. You know you'll feel it the next day when you wake up. There are too many things I have to accomplish."

Although Christina has been photographed partying before, she really does seem to have her sh*t together compared to her peers eh? They could learn a thing or two from her.

Paris Opens Up Her Big Mouth About Christina

According to People magazine, Paris Hilton made Christina Aguilera's baby announcement at a Las Vegas nightclub which appeared without Christina's permission. The loud-mouth blabbed on Sunday at 2 am at LAX nightclub at an Aguilera-hosted party:

"Congratulations to the most beautiful pregnant woman in the world. You're gorgeous."

Paris obviously didn't give a sh*t about the fact that Christina has never confirmed her pregnancy despite the speculation over her visible baby bump. Christina was said to have appeared temporarily shocked and sank her head into her her husband, Jordan Bratman's shoulder. Christina's friends also looked stunned over the announcement.

It seems that Christina got over it though and laughed as crowd members including: Adrien Grenier, Melanie Brown, Criss Angel and cast members from The Hills cheered.

Was Paris partying a little too much which caused for her loose lips or did she just want to take away Christina's big moment? I also wonder if Paris forgot that her BFF Nicole Richie is also pregnant.

Christina's Baby News!

According to In Touch Weekly, Christina Aguilera is due to have a baby girl this winter. When Christina (who is now about 18 weeks pregnant) had an ultrasound at Ceders-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. on July 25, she and hubby Jordan Bratman found out they're having a girl who is due on December 15, 2007.

I hope she's getting plenty of rest as it was mentioned here that she was ordered to have bed rest, forcing her to cancel two of her concerts.

Christina revealed to UK's In Style magazine that she wants her children to be bilingual saying:

“I definitely want my children to know Spanish, that’s important. It’s something that I want to start speaking early on in the house, so I’m brushing up on my Spanish and taking out my lesson tapes on tour.”

Aw, how cute eh? I'm really happy for her. It's great that she's also planning on teaching her kids to speak the language of her cultural heritage.

Is Christina Aguilera Suffering From Morning Sickness?

Christina Aguilera has reportedly canceled two concerts in Australia as her world tour is close to ending. Doctors have said that she's suffering from an upper respiratory tract infection, a high fever and abnormal coughing, and ordered to have bed rest. Christina sent an apology to her fans through a spokesperson at the Frontier Touring Company:

“Unfortunately, I have fallen ill with a bad flu virus. This is one of the best cities in the world to perform in and I am truly disappointed that I won’t be able to share my show with you all. Thank you for all of the continued love and support and I hope to perform for you all again next time.”

Apparently several people on tour with Christina have also become ill with bad colds and the flu. The promoter Michael Gudinski said:

“Christina is a real trouper. She is a talented artist who puts her all into her concerts and she is devastated that she can’t perform her remaining concerts in Melbourne. They have prescribed complete bed rest for the next few days."

Christina is scheduled for tour more dates next week in Aukland, New Zealand where the tour will come to an end.

Hmmm, it sure sounds like Christina's reps might be covering up for morning sickness. Towards the end of any tour, it's common for everyone involved with her tour to have fatigue, but with all of the pregnancy rumors, who knows?

Late Beatle To Finally Get A Star

The randomness of who is getting a star at the Hollywood Walk Of Fame never cease to amaze me. Beatle George Harrison, who died back in 2001, got a star only as part of the Beatles. In 2008, over 7 years after his death he will be getting a star along with Christina Aguilera and Ricky Martin. It is great that they all get stars, but what I don't understand is why they waited until after the man died? Wasn't he star worthy before his death? Nothing against Aguilera or Martin, but didn't Harrison reach the same status (or much higher) than them when he was alive?
