Watch Daniel Radcliffe receive a long, seemingly reciprocated kiss from another man at the Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers’ Choice Awards in the video above just after the 3 minute mark.
It's a rather convincingly long kiss between the two men too! Maybe even some tongue action going on? It's great that Harry Potter isn't afraid to show love eh?
Whoopi held back tears when she talked about her disappointment that she was left out of a montage of Oscar's great moments of the past Academy Awards that aired during the show on Sunday night. She joked:
"Undoubtedly, I pissed somebody off once again."
Check out the clip below:
I can understand why she's upset. To be honest, I didn't even notice she was missing, but thinking about it now, it's really disrespectful that they left her out. Not only was she the first woman and first person of color to host the Oscars, she did a great job doing it!
Overall, watching the Oscars was pretty tortuous last night because it's such a long show, but last night actually marked Gabby Babble's 1st year of blogging as our first post was on Oscar night in 2007. I almost fell asleep many times though and I actually didn't make it to the very end and didn't catch the winner for the Best Motion Picture. Luckily reports had the list available. John Stewart did a great job hosting - he's funny and he's classy at the same time. I loved how he gave Marketa Irglova a chance to do her thank you as she didn't get the chance when she and Glen Hansard went up to take their award for Falling Slowly. My two favorite Oscar moments are in the video clips above when Javier Bardem won for Supporting Actor and Marion Cotillard won for Lead Actress.

Apparently there were rumors that Heather Mills might've shown up to attend the 2008 Brit Awards that Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne were hosting. Sharon made her feelings rather clear about what she would do if Heather attended:
"I would boot her off. I think she's a miserable old cow."
Ozzy added:
"I'm looking forward to seeing Paul McCartney - he's my hero. The body of work he's got is just unbelievable. But I really don't want to be there if Heather shows up. Never mind McCartney having a go - I think the audience will string her up. Sharon and I have met them both her on a few occasions but if Paul doesn't know her, I'm f**ked if I do. She's f**king nuts."
Amy Winehouse performed a duet with Mark Ronson at the 2008 Brit Awards singing "Valerie" live. I'm amazed that Amy didn't fall on her ass in those heels! It's kind of comical watching her move around in those. Notice how much bigger Amy's boobs got too? Yikes!
She sounded okay, but I'm not crazy about that song. I thought she did a lot better during her performance for the Grammys.
Yesterday, Criss Angel received the 2008 Merlin Award for "Magician of the Year" by the International Magicians Society. Other than the fact that I could hardly recognize him because of his beard, he also looks a bit scary on top of his usual dirty look.
I guess I will never understand why all these girls are always after him.
Aretha Franklin had the opportunity to get some real R-E-S-P-E-C-T at tonight's 39th NAACP Image Awards. As mentioned earlier, she felt snubbed when Beyoncé introduced Tina Turner as “the Queen” at Sunday’s Grammy Awards because everyone knows that title belongs to Aretha. However, Aretha has said she's ready to make nice with Beyoncé though.
Aretha was one of three entertainers to receive special awards. The other two awards went to Stevie Wonder and Rubee Dee. Aretha received the Vanguard Award for being someone whose work “increases our understanding and awareness of racial and social issues.” I hope Aretha was feeling the love tonight on Valentine's Day. Congrats to the Queen of Soul and Happy Valentine's to everyone.
Beyonce Knowles has gone and upset Aretha Franklin for introducing Tina Turner as the Queen of Soul before their duet at the 50th Grammy Awards. Aretha felt snubbed. She said:
"I am not sure of whose toes I may have stepped on or whose ego I may have bruised between the Grammy writers and Beyonce, however I dismissed it as a cheap shot for controversy."
I actually wondered why Beyonce introduced her that way too. Maybe it was a slip, but Aretha has always been known as the Queen as Soul. I don't blame her for feeling a little slighted.
Natalie Cole has slammed the Grammy voters for Amy Winehouse's five awards at the 50th Grammy Awards. She said:
"I think she has a great talent, but I don't agree with the Grammys giving her those nods. I think it sends the wrong message, that even in the midst of her stupor of drugs she can get nominated for all these awards. It's a slap in the face to musicians and artists who work very hard that they turn around and give it to someone who really obviously doesn't have a grasp of what she has. I've been in this business over 25 years and I sacrificed five years of my own life on drugs and almost lost my life because of it. So I take great offense to almost see someone getting glory out of being in the position that they're in - she needs to get her life together and embrace her craft."
While I do agree that Amy Winehouse is not in a position to be a role model to others right now because of her battle against drug addiction, she wasn't rewarded for that, she was rewarded for the music she made. Amy isn't the first musician that was in trouble with drugs or the law that has received awards too. It would've been nicer for Natalie to wish her well in her recovery rather than rain on her parade.
Two of my favorite performances at the Grammys were Foo Fighters and Andrea Bocelli singing with Josh Groban. The Foo Fighters rocked and Andrea and Josh sounded absolutely beautiful together. Others may disagree and think the highlights were either Beyoncé trying to keep up with Tina Turner, Alicia Keys performing with John Mayer, Kanye West singing to his mother, or Amy Winehouse performing from London, but these were my faves. I also very much enjoyed seeing Jerry Lee Lewis still rocking on the piano while performing with John Fogerty and Little Richard.
Some folks might've thought the Grammys were boring this year, but this was one of the first Grammy Awards I've really enjoyed in a long time.
Just in case you missed watching Amy Winehouse's performance at the 50th Grammy Awards, you can watch it here. As I said earlier, I was impressed with her. She seems to have cleaned herself up for her appearance, not slurring even one word. It was definitely Amy's night as she came out as the big winner.
Not sure why Beyoncé was bending forward like that, maybe her back was hurting? Alicia Keys was brave to sport a faux-hawk. I was happy to see her later take that thing down.
Miley Cyrus tried to pose sexy, but looked a little uncomfortable.
Fergie made sure her boobs were on display.
Rihanna looked cute. Surprisngly, she didn't wear something more revealing.
I was actually impressed with Amy Winehouse's performance for the Grammys tonight. Although Amy's application for a visa to the U.S. was rejected, it was still great she was able to perform. She also appeared healthier than recent photos. I hope she'll continue to work on getting better. It was nice to see she had her mum with her when she was announced the winner of the Best Record award, but also a little amusing how she announced a thank you to her Blake who's incarcerated. Congrats Amy!
Keely Smith who won the first Grammy or at least one of the first awarded was at the 50th Grammys to present an award with Kid Rock. WTF??? This is how they treat a legend? She looked and sounded amazing. I just felt kind of sad that she got paired up with Kid Rock. At least Dave Koz was in the mix though because he was great.
Here's an old clip of Keely performing with Louie Prima from The Black Conservative Show:
I think Keely sounds just as awesome as she always has.
If you somehow missed watching the 2008 Grammys tonight, you can see 68-year-old Tina Turner performing "Proud Mary" with Beyoncé below. Tina still has the energy, but didn't show off her famous sexy legs. Beyoncé looked a little excited to be performing with the legendary Tina in the photo...maybe a little too excited eh? Yikes!
Tina, however, looked like she might've had some recent work done on her face and possibly her boobs. Her face looked pretty tight! She still rocks though - I love Tina.
Celebrities are known for their crazy Grammy outfits. Last night was the Clive Davis' Pre-Grammy party. Check out what Lindsay Lohan, Jordin Sparks, Rihanna and Paula Abdul were wearing. What were they thinking?
Amy Winehouse is reportedly banned in the U.S.A. Apparently, she is not being allowed to perform at the Grammy Awards on Sunday. Too bad for her because she's nominated for six awards. Amy's rep said:
"Amy Winehouse will not be performing at this year’s Grammy Awards ceremony. The singer has been invited to appear at the event on Sunday (February 10) after receiving an amazing six nominations for the prestigious awards. Unfortunately, her application for a visa to enter the United States Of America has been rejected at this time by the American Embassy in London. Amy has been progressing well since entering a rehabilitation clinic two weeks ago and although disappointed with the decision has accepted the ruling and will be concentrating on her recovery. Amy has been treated well and fairly by the embassy staff and thanks everyone for their support in trying to make this happen. There will of course be other opportunities and she very much looks forward to visiting America in the near future."
Poor Amy! Sucks to be her right now. She should focus on getting better right now anyway.
Amy Winehouse reportedly left her rehab clinic in London this morning in order to go renew her visa at the U.S. Embassy, according to Usmagazine.com which was confirmed by Amy's rep. It looks like the troubled singer has plans to perform at the Grammys. Mitch Winehouse, her father, told reporters that she has already returned to the clinic.
Amy's rep told The Sun:
"The appointment at the U.S. Embassy was made some time ago and was part of the process for obtaining a visa. No decision has been made about the Grammys."
However, a source told Us Weekly that Amy:
“is desperate to go and has been told she can go on the condition that she has a minder there and returns to rehab when back in the U.K."
Amy received nominations for album of the year as well as song of the year. Her record label insists:
"She has come to understand that she requires specialist treatment to continue her ongoing recovery from drug addiction."
As long as she's under constant supervision, I don't see why she couldn't fly in for the Grammys and then just return to rehab. Let's just hope she is serious about her treatment while she's in rehab though.
