Shocker: Ashlee Simpson And Pete Wentz To Make Money Off Wedding

As reported before, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are rumored to get married soon. Probably before Ashlee starts having a baby bump. Yes, that baby that they keep denying.

According to TMZ, they already sold the wedding pictures to People magazine. I bet Papa Joe is trying to get them to do a reality show as well.

Pete Wentz has joked we could see that his wedding to Ashlee Simpson could use the Gremlin's theme. Apparently, he told Female First that Gremlins 2 is one of his all-time favorite movies. He said:

"I think we're going to have our theme based around Gremlins 2! We could have it take place in a mall and there could be little green naked monsters running about! We could even have Gizmo as a guest!"

As mentioned before, their wedding is said to have been moved up to May 16, 2008 with Jessica Simpson announcing to People magazine that she will be their maid of honor.

If they don't end up using the Gremlin's theme for their wedding, they don't have to worry because they're probably going to be having a little Gremlin soon enough! Scary eh?

Papa Joe will probably get over his displeasure of the nuptials and be happy again once the pregnancy boobs start to show.

Ashlee Simpson was in London recently promoting her new album, when she made an appearance on a talk show called Nokia Green Room.

Ashlee was asked in the talk show interview what she thought, "You've had one too many Britney Spears" meant, and Ashlee said it meant "one too many trashy girls." In actuality, it's slang for "one too many drinks."

It looks like Ashlee needs to take a long hard look at herself; she is hardly the epitome of class! Britney forever Ashlee never!

Ashlee Simpson is Getting Married Next Week

Rumor has it that Ashlee Simpson and fiance Pete Wentz are planning on jumping the gun! The pair is allegedly scheduled to get married next weekend, at an undisclosed location outside of LA. The invitations have already been sent out for the weekend of May 16.

So, this totally makes her preggers, right? I'm less concerned about that though and more concerned about how Papa Joe is going to handle this. I can just see him insisting on being both the best man and walking Ashlee down the aisle, and then when it comes rehearsal time, he'll tell Pete to "just sit this one out," while he stands in as groom.

And PLEASE tell me they have enough good sense to not pose the "does anyone object" question!

Pete Wentz Defends Ashlee Simpson's Engagement Ring

In trying to prove he's a socially conscious rocker, Pete Wentz insisted that the ring he bought his fiancée Ashlee Simpson was not a blood diamond. Wentz told People:

"It is not a conflict diamond. It's something I care about," Wentz added. "I can't actually go [to Africa to pick it out] myself, but I trust [the jeweler]. He's a reputable person."

Their upcoming nuptials are said to be planned for May in California.

Aw, I feel so much better now knowing that Ashlee's not sporting a conflict diamond now. I just wish he had shared who the "reputable" jeweler is.

Papa Joe Trying To Make Money Off Ashlee Simpson's Baby

Papa Joe is doing what Papa Joe does best (other than obsessing about his daughter's boobs) and that is, use his daughters to make money.

As reported before, Ashlee Simpson is rumored to be pregnant. The New York Post has reported that Papa Joe is already looking to sell pictures of the baby:

"Joe is contacting all the weeklies and asking them to pony up $1 million to put Ashlee on the cover.

The deal would include photos of Ashlee - taken by Joe, of course, so he can make more money - an interview and photos of the baby when she has it"

Unfortunately for him, there is not much interest in the baby pictures. One magazine editor said:

"$60,000 maybe - but definitely not a million. The timing is a little suspicious. Her album ['Bittersweet World'] is dropping next week, and there was little to no interest until now. Ashlee's lucky she got pregnant, frankly."

$60,000 - Papa Joe is probably pissed that it is not Jessica who is pregnant. I bet she could get much more for her baby's picture.

Ashlee Simpson Knocked Up and Expecting Baby in October

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are reportedly expecting a baby in October. As mentioned before, the couple had recently announced their engagement.
A source close to the couple told OK! magazine:

"Ashlee and Pete are as perfect for each other as any two people could be. They don't spend a minute apart if they can possibly avoid it and are over the moon about the baby."

Ashlee is rumored to have morning sickness. The source claimed:

"Pete was clearly worried about Ashlee, and was holding her hand the whole time."

The pair are also said to be planning to get hitched before the baby bump is very noticeable. Their pal said:

"They're planning on something in the Santa Barbara area probably by the end of May. Ashlee would like to walk down the aisle before she's showing. She's very cute the way she's always checking out her belly now and asking everyone, 'Am I showing yet?'"

If it's so important she's not so obviously showing when she walks down the aisle, they should get married this month. Papa Joe will be a grandpapa- Wow. Let's hope she has a boy so he doesn't have to obsess about another family member's boobs.

Earlier this week, Fall Out Boys bassist Pete Wentz proposed to his girlfriend Ashlee Simpson. A friend told In Touch magazine:

"He got down on one knee and she said yes. She has an amazing ring, and they are so in love."

Ashlee released the following statement:

"We know there has been a lot of speculation recently about Pete and I and we wanted our fans to be the first to know, because you guys are the best.
Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged. Thank you for all of your support and well wishes - it means the world to us. We consider this to be a very private matter, and we wanted to be the first to tell you and to hear it straight from us."

Papa Joe must be upset because as reported a while ago, he wanted Ashlee to date other guys on a reality show. Well, he can always try and convince them to do a reality show after they get married. Or maybe a reality show about the wedding preparations.

Page Six is reporting that the parents of Ashlee and Jessica Simpson, Joe and Tina, might have separated. Not only that the couple has not seen together in months but also Joe Simpson has been seen partying with Ryan Cabrera, the ex-boyfriend of his daughter Ashlee:

"He was with a group of guys including Ryan Cabrera . . . He was flirting with one group of girls who either didn't know who he was or didn't care, and they just grabbed their drinks, laughed and walked away."

I would not be surprised if they are separated. Tina probably realized what he creep her husband is after he started making comments about Jessica's boobs or as he likes calling them, those suckers.

Pete Wentz Reveals He Attempted Suicide

Fall Out Boy Pete Wentz shocked fans when he revealed that he attempted suicide. He spoke about his battle with depression in order to encourage students suffering from mental illness to seek professional help. Wentz claimed his depression and anxiety paralyzed him during the start of his career where he felt isolated and tried to kill himself. Wentz has joined Mary J. Blige and Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins to help the Jed Foundation's Half Of Us campaign, which is aimed at cutting student suicide rates.

Blige, Corgan, and Wentz sat for video interviews to reveal their darkest hours. The videos appear on MTV's college channel MTVU. During his revealing interview, Wentz said:

"The darkest moment was when we had just finished recording out major label record and two days later we were going to go to Europe and I felt completely lost and out of control. At that point, I'd seen some doctors and they were Hollywood doctors so they gave me a cocktail (of prescription drugs) but I was kind of the drugstore cowboy, so I took the cocktail the way I wanted to take it. I got in my car. I remember I was listening to Jeff Buckley doing Leonard Cohen's (song) Hallelujah and sat there and took a bunch of (prescription drug) Adavan in a Best Buy (store) parking lot. And I called up my manager because I was, at that point, completely out of my head with Adavan. And I was talking to him and I was slurring my words, so he called my mom and my mom called me and she came and got me and we went to the hospital. I came home and we realized that we needed to do more than just keep (my) head above water. It's not really about keeping your head above water, it's about feeling all right and feeling safe in your own skin. It's not about keeping your head above water and barely keep going."

Wow, that took guts to reveal something so personal. Let's hope that dealing with girlfriend Ashlee Simpson and her family, namely Papa Joe Simpson doesn't get him down. It's great that he's trying to bring awareness about depression to students and encourage them to seek some help - student suicide rates have always been too high, particularly with gay teens.
