Usher Must Be Missing His Mommy

As mentioned last month, Usher had forced his mother Jonetta Patton into early retirement after his last album didn’t do as well as he hoped it would.
However, it looks like he’s reconsidering his decision after he has already replaced his mom with Benny Medina who managed Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez.
Now it looks like he’s blaming Medina for his slow sales of his new album “Here I Stand.” While the album debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts, it only sold 433,000 copies which is much less than his 2004 album Confessions which sold 1.1 million.
A source told the New York Daily News:
“Usher was livid. He threatened to fire everyone. People have been telling Usher to listen to his mother. Nobody knows how to sell him better than she does. Usher can be stubborn. But he may be ready (to re-hire his mother).”
Is this a case of Mother Knows Best or are fans just growing tired of Usher’s music now?
