Vanilla Ice Threatened to Kill Himself
photo courtesy of PR Photos/www.prphotos.comVanilla Ice repeatedly threatened to commit suicide in a bizarre 911 call his wife Laura made while they were in the midst of a violent argument last month. Although Robert Van Winkle (his real name) was cleared of domestic battery charges in Palm Beach, Florida on April 10, 2008, a tape recording his wife made on the night of the fight has been leaked to TMZ.
Laura told the operator:
“All I really want is a divorce. He is too controlling!”
Vanilla Ice can be heard saying:
“I’m going to kill myself, I swear to God.”
After police arrived, they arrested him for domestic battery, but Laura later retracted her statement.
How awful! I wonder if she’s staying with him. He sounds like a nut!
