Jessica is calling Tony Romo her “future husband,” according to Us Weekly. In the June issue of Glamour, Jessica admits she’s “in love” with the Dallas Cowboys quarterback. To prove how good she’s feeling these days, she wrote a song about Romo called, “Back in My Old Boots.” Jessica said:

“He reintroduced me to myself. I thought that I had to be deeper, more profound and more artsy. You change with the guys you date. Tony taught me that because he loves me [as me]. He made me feel comfortable [being myself] again.”

She revealed that Romo first caught her eye while divorcing Nick Lachey. She said:

“My family and I were watching a Cowboys game … and — Tony would die if I told you this — but [on TV there was a story] about him. They said his celebrity dream crush was Jessica Simpson. My family was like, ‘Did you just hear that?’ His picture came up, and I’m like, ‘He’s really cute.’ Then I heard [that I was his crush], and I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh!’”

And thanks to Papa Joe Simpson, they met a year and a half later.

Jessica was SO excited about their first date:

“I had butterflies that you would not imagine. I wanted to puke in the cup holder … It took me forever to put together an outfit!”

She was thrilled he wanted to kiss her on the first date:

“I was taken aback….The fact that this guy, on our first date, in the first 10 minutes of dinner, wanted to lean over the table and say, ‘This is my girl, and I want to kiss her’ — our first kiss in front of everybody — was awesome.”

Jessica sort of slams her relationship with Nick Lachey:

“There’s too much competition [being with a musician]. There’s too much know-it-all pop star.”

Well, there probably wasn’t enough room for both of Nick’s and Jessica’s egos in one room. Isn’t it so nice she found her special someone to lick cake off of in public? Sounds like a match made in heaven that’ll last forever.
