Pete Wentz Defends Ashlee Simpson’s Engagement Ring

“It is not a conflict diamond. It’s something I care about,” Wentz added. “I can’t actually go [to Africa to pick it out] myself, but I trust [the jeweler]. He’s a reputable person.”
Their upcoming nuptials are said to be planned for May in California.
Aw, I feel so much better now knowing that Ashlee’s not sporting a conflict diamond now. I just wish he had shared who the “reputable” jeweler is.
