Nickelback Singer Kroeger Convicted for DUI
photo courtesy of PR Photos/www.prphotos.comChad Kroeger, Nickelback's frontman, has reportedly been convicted of drinking and driving. He was arrested in British Columbia, Canada after police stopped him for speeding. Then police charged him with impared driving and having a blood alcohol level over the legal limit.
Although Kroeger (real name Turton) pleaded not guilty and tried to have the charges dismissed as his lawyer claimed the officer involved conducted an unlawful search of Kroger's Ferrari after smelling alcohol on his breath, the judge threw out the request last month. Kroger will face a $600 fine and a one-year driving ban when he's sentenced on May 1st.
He's just lucky he's not facing jail time eh? He can also probably afford to have someone drive him around anyway so the year can go by quickly if he gets banned from driving.
