Carrie Underwood and Chace Crawford Split Over Text

Who ever says breaking up is so hard to do when we now have the option to do it over text message? Carrie Underwood and Chace Crawford revealed to Extra how they broke-up at the Idol Gives Back taping in Hollywood Sunday:

"We broke up over text, so it's like 'peace out.' It was completely mutual, we're both fine."

Carrie also said they haven't spoken "in a while, but I mean, I don't dislike him. So it's no big deal."

She also added that the relationship:

"just didn't work and we both knew it didn't work and [there are] no hard feelings at all whatsoever."

Carrie pointed out that the challenge of dating in the public eye is:

"difficult ... because people always make a lot bigger deal of things than they actually are."

So I guess we should be relieved she's not broken-hearted over Chace. It's funny how nonchalant she sounds over their split. And by the way, could Carrie have chosen an uglier colored dress to wear to the Idol Gives Back taping? Yikes.
