Amy Winehouse Dumped from Charity Event

Amy Winehouse was reportedly dumped from a charity event in the U.S. even after she had been granted a business visa to travel to the U.S.

Organizers decided against having her participate next month for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual Costume Institute Gala on May 5, 2008. A source told the Daily Mail:
"She has been told that she is no longer part of the programme. It will be a huge blow for her as it would have been a great platform to break America. They love her music over there but she has yet to do a tour".

A rep for the event confirmed:
"She was asked if she would be interested, and she was considered, but then we moved on from her".

Ouch! Poor Amy. She couldn't get visa approval to attend the Grammy Awards this year, but then she gets it for this charity event and now they drop her. I bet she's bummed.

She's a crass drug addict. She does not fit with the Met. She's conducted herself disgracefully.
