According to a report published yesterday, Brian McNamee has claimed he injected Roger Clemens’ wife with human growth hormone. The New York Daily News reported that a source has said McNamee told congressional investigators on Thursday that he injected Debbie Clemens before she appeared in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue in 2003 with Roger. The report alleges Mc-Namee said he did so at the direction of Roger Clemens.
Interestingly enough, Debbie Clemens wrote about the shoot on her Web site at the time.
“Roger came to me one day and told me that we had been asked to do a photo shoot for Sports Illustrated.I had major anxiety! I was a 39-year-old mother of 4! Once I realized that this WAS going to be a reality, I decided I had to give it everything I had. My mind was set. I am not a risk taker, but have since learned that with great risk, sometimes comes great reward. The responses from that experience have been wonderful and I feel it was a turning point in my life … Using common sense and my ability to balance my life, I achieved that goal.”
Rusty Hardin, one of Clemens’ lawyers, quickly responded:
“Now there can be no doubt what kind of person we are dealing with. To say that Roger directed something like this is a colossal lie.”
Clemens and McNamee will both testify next Wednesday during the committee’s public hearing, which also will include New York Yankees pitcher Andy Pettitte.
Wow, this story gets bigger every time doesn’t it? I still find it hard to believe that either Roger or his wife did the drugs, but the big thing Roger has going against him is that McNamee supposedly has some proof (his blood or DNA from old syringes)? Why would anyone keep that stuff unless they were planning to later use it against someone? Either way, McNamee seems like such a low-life.

Why is that? McNamee was called before a grand jury and testified under oath as to what he knew. Are you suggesting he’s a “low-life” for telling the truth to a grand jury?
When Clemens first opened his mouth and suggested the testimony was a lie, McNamee issued a warning to Clemens that if he were to continue to claim that he was lying, that he would be forced to humiliate Clemens to clear his name. Clemens chose to ignore the warning.
Sure, I’ll agree that IF McNamee is lying, he’s the worst of the worst. But you’re suggesting that he’s a low-life “either way” and that’s a little low-life in itself.
Seems to me that if McNamee is telling the truth … Clemens turns out to be one of the greatest low-lifes in sports.

Cheater cheater. So many people cheat in everything. Roger’s friend Pettite admits to taking HGH, Roger’s wife admits to taking HGH, and they both say they got it from a guy who admits giving it to someone else (Knoblauch), and that someone else corroborates Petites story. THREE PEOPLE close to Clemens say that they got HGH from Clemens’ trainer, but when that trainer says he also gave it to Clemens’, oh, well that is a lie.

McNamee isn’t a “drug dealer” and “low life”. He didn’t “push” drugs on these poor athletes, these players SOUGHT people like McNamee to give them their “fix” to perform better (if he didn’t get it for them, someone else will). He didn’t offer this information to make money, he didn’t say a peep for the longest time. He was ORDERED by the Mitchell report to give his story under oath. Case closed.
