Dr. Phil Defends Lynne Spears
photo courtesy of PR Photos/www.prphotos.comDr. Phil McGraw reportedly defended Lynne Spears despite the criticism she has received for the way she has parented Britney Spears and Jamie Lynn Spears. Dr. Phil told People:
“We know the Spears family, particularly the parents. An asset that Britney and Jamie Lynn both have is a great and dedicated mother.”
Dr. Phil acknowledges that Lynne is “troubled right now” but is “really looking for the positives in this.” He also insists that Lynne has “her feet squarely and solidly on the ground.”
Even Robin, Dr. Phil’s wife provided her support of Lynne:
“They’re a very strong, close-knit family. They’re relying on each other. And with her book recently put on hold, Lynne is also drawing strength from her faith. I talked to Lynne yesterday and she said they’re turning to prayer, asked that I pray for them. That’s how they’re going to get through it.”
Is Dr. Phil losing it? Britney is sick and needs help. She wasn’t even on speaking terms with her mother for months. Lil sis, Jamie Lynn, is 16-years-old and pregnant. And there are rumors that Lynne and Jamie Lynn pimped out the pregnancy story to OK! magazine for $1 million. Yup, parenting at it’s finest.
