Pete Wentz Pleads For Ashlee’s Sake

Pete Wentz reportedly pleaded with a heavy metal rock band to stop making fun of Ashlee Simpson. The Fall Out Boy star wrote to the Canadian band Neurosonic who wrote a song about Ashlee’s Saturday Night Live appearance in 2004 where she was found to be lip-syncing while pretending to sing live. According to the NY Post PageSix:

“So Many People,” pokes fun at Simpson’s horrific “Saturday Night Live” appearance, during which she was caught lip-synching and ran offstage. Darr then invited the audience to dance a “jig” along to the song, just like Simpson did before she fled the stage that night.

Check out Neurosonic’s video below:

The song is actually pretty good eh? Poor Ashlee! While Pete was probably trying to help, he probably just gave them more publicity and more reason to continue performing it.
