Although Eva Longoria and Tony Parker are newleyweds, they’re going to have to wait to try for any babies for 12 months. Eva has been told by Marc Cherry, the creator of “Desperate Housewives” that she cannot get pregnant because if she did, it would ruin the show’s plot line. Eva explains:

“Gabrielle can do anything and go anywhere because she doesn’t have kids and she’s not limited. So when she’s in these love triangles and quadrangles - dating, not dating, whatever - I think she’s a true representation of what some women go through. I love all the exciting adventures she goes on.”

Basically, the whole storyline of the TV show The storyline of “Desperate Housewives” is mapped out for the whole season so if Eva came out showing off a baby bump, it would be very difficult to write around for Cherry.

Eva doesn’t seem too bothered by the ban and says:

“Tony and I are excited about starting a family, but because Marc has forbidden me to get pregnant this year we’re going to spend time as a married couple and build a solid foundation together before we bring our child into the world.”

Wouldn’t that be interesting if she got pregnant and brought the whole show down? Fingers crossed.
