Bono Is A Knight - But Don’t Call Him Sir
Photo by: ShowBizIreland / GettyAt a ceremony that took place in Dublin today, Bono was named an honorary knight of the British Empire. His title is: “Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (KBE)”.
At the ceremony with Bono was his wife Ali and their children – Jordan, Eve, Elijah and John – and U2 bandmates Adam Clayton and the Edge (Where was Larry?)
However, since Bono is not a British citizen he can never be called Sir. But that’s ok, having a rock star called Sir always make me laugh. I mean, Sir Mick Jagger… Come on!
